Welcome to the National Autistic Society, West Berkshire Branch

Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people, and makes sense of the world.  It also affects how they make sense of the world around them.  Autism affects 1 in 100 of the UK population and in West Berkshire alone, there are approximately 1750 people with diagnosed or undiagnosed, autism.

The NAS, West Berkshire Branch aims to support children and adults with autism and Asperger syndrome in West Berkshire, including their parents and carers.

Our services includes a family support worker, three youth clubs (aged 10-13, 13-18 years and 18+), professional speaker evenings, a befriending service, quarterly newsletters, a monthly adult social group, regular family activities, local influence, and lobbying to increase local autism services and lots, lots more.

If you would like to become a committee member, a volunteer or just find out more about the Branch, please email westberkshire@nas.org.uk.
